N-VCD Our Solution For Large Bore Vascular Closure

The Need

Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of mortality globally with over 18 million deaths each year. Recently, many of these diseases can be treated by transcatheter methods including heart valve replacement, aneurysm repair, intracardiac structural repairs and arrhythmias. For many of these procedures, a much larger access site is required in the femoral vessels at the groin.
Inadequate closure of these large access sites leads to severe complications.

Our solution

A novel and pioneering minimally-invasive continuous suturing device for closing vascular access sites following large bore catheterization procedures. The device is designed to deploy a multipoint “purse-string” suture at the beginning of the procedure (like it is done today with a surgical cut down at the groin), thereby, enabling safe and reliable closure at the end of the procedure.
The Novelrad VCD is designed to close an unprecedented range of bore sizes using a single device and has a “ballpoint pen” interface designed for ease of use to ensure simple and intuitive operation with a short learning curve
