N-PFOOur Solution For Patent Foramen Ovale Closure

The Need

Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) – a hole in the atrial septum – has a high prevalence and is associated with an increased risk of stroke.

Our solution

Novelrad’s transcatheter PFO closure device can mimic the cardiac surgeon’s open heart suturing method and is designed and aimed to obviate complications: embolization, thrombo-embolism, erosions and new onset arrhythmias that are associated with the large metal alloy implants used to close the PFO today. By using our suturing methodology future trans-septal procedures through the Fossa Ovale (e.g. AFib ablation, mitral clip, LAA closure) will be possible without having a device in the way.

Mimic the surgical suturing method

Designed to treat the PFO without having metal implants in the heart

Leaves the Fossa Ovalis accessible for future transseptal procedures (AFib, mitral clip, LAA closure)
